Selma McCormack
Selma McCormack lives and works in Dublin. She studied painting and sculpture part time before starting to exhibit her work in the late 1980s. Generally figurative in subject matter, she continues to produce works in bronze, and occasionally in ceramics. Following her success in sculpture, McCormack developed her distinctive paining style from the 1990s onwards, with works often abstract with an attention to colour. Her influences include Robert Motherwell, Patrick Heron and Nicholas de Staël.
