Philip Flanagan
Philip Flanagan was born in Belfast in 1960. In 1985, he graduated from Camberwell College, London. He worked in sculpture prior to turning to abstract painting. The sensibilities of sculpture transferred to his paintings through his application of the medium and construction of abstract compositions.
His work is held in public collections including University College Dublin, Dublin Writers’ Museum, the Ulster Museum, and Queen’s University.
