Olive Henry RUA

Olive Henry was born in Belfast and attended the Belfast School of Art. Henry’s artistic career began when she was offered an apprenticeship with a glass firm in Belfast. She regularly exhibited with the Belfast Art Society, the Ulster Academy of Arts, the Royal Hibernian Academy, and the Royal Ulster Academy. She was a founding member, with Gladys Maccabe, of the Ulster Society of Women Artists and president of the society from 1979 to 1981.
