Norman J. McCaig

Norman J. McCaig (1929-2001) was born in Bangor, County Down. He typically painted landscapes, seascapes, and harbour scenes. McCaig attended the Belfast College of Art and the Academy of Art in Paris. It was in Paris he met long-time friend, Joseph Sefton, who was an accomplished stage and set designer. The pair would later exhibit together. Aside from painting, McCaig was also a popular pianist who performed at many key venues around Belfast.
