Hugh McIlfatrick
Hugh McIlfatrick was born in Ballymoney, County Antrim in 1956. He taught English and Drama at Portora Royal School in Enniskillen. Encouraged by Douglas Hutton, McIlfatrick decided to pursue painting full time after leaving his teaching profession in 1985. He primarily captures Antrim coastal scenes and countryside landscapes using either oil paints or watercolours.
